Pumpkin Patches

Rombach Farm Chesterfield
When: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Sunday
Activities: Pumpkin picking, hay rides, pony rides and barrel rides are among the farm's activities. During weekdays, activities include a free wooden maze, wooden fort and animals. Rombach's also offers a giant pumpkin pyramid, barbecue and a country store with private-label jellies and jams.
Pricing: There is no admission fee, parking is free and pumpkins start at $4. 

Manchester
When: The patch is open daily from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. In addition, there will be a special Fall Festival on Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with storytime, kids crafts, face painting, games, snacks, bake sale, crafts sale and free popcorn and Halloween tattoos. These special activities will only be available during the festival.
Activities: Pumpkin picking benefiting Joplin, MO and other church programs. 
Pricing: There are no admission fees, parking is free and pumpkins range from $2-$25. Small gourds and mini-pumpkins are available for 50 cents and 75 cents, respectively.

Activities: Come to the bakery department and let Diane show you how to make delicious ghoulish-looking cupcakes. They are a wickedly easy treat for the kids to make for Halloween.

Halloween Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treating
When: noon-3 p.m. Oct. 29
Activities: Dress the kids up in their spookiest or snazziest Halloween costumes for the Whole Foods Costume Contest. Three winners will receive a bag full of Halloween prizes. There will also be plenty of treats for the kids from every department.

Your Budding Chef: Jack O’Lantern Punch
When: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Oct. 30
Activities: Stop by the Grocery Department and let your little ghosts and goblins have some Jack O’Lantern Punch.
