NEWS NEARBY: Kitten Thrown From Car Will Likely Lose Tail

The kitten, found in Valley Park, is believed to have been thrown out a car window by its tail. It's alive, but will reportedly have to have its tail amputated.

According to KMOV.com, the 5-week old kitten was reportedly found in Valley Park, near the intersection of Highway 141 and Vance on Monday.

Kathy Mosley reportedly told KMOV that her daughter found the animal and they took it to Webster Groves Animal Hospital where a veterinarian determined the kitten was likely thrown from a car by its tail.

According to KMOV, the cat was treated and taken home by the Mosley's where it is recovering, but will have to have its tail amputated.  That procedure will costs approximately $300, the article states.
