Meet the One Dime at a Time Recipient: Circle of Concern

Whole Foods Market offers the following event description:

Whole Foods Market gives 10 cents per bag to customers who re-use their own shopping bags for their purchased groceries. This program reduces our impact on the environment and now supports local nonprofit groups. Throughout January, February and March, customers will have the choice to accept their cash refund, or donate the cash back to our store’s chosen nonprofit organization, Circle of Concern. Circle of Concern feeds the hungry and provides long-term and emergency assistance to low-income families in western St. Louis County. They create opportunities for needy families to re-establish themselves as productive members in our community. Representatives from Circle of Concern will be in our store, discussing their mission as well as our One Dime at a Time program. The first 25 customers to come by their table will receive a free tote bag. We hope you enjoy learning more about the important work performed by Circle of Concern in our community.
