Honeysuckle Project in welcoming our goats, the Honeysuckle Eradicators: Kurt Vonnegoat, Lady Baba & baby Barat – Maryville's newest green champions!
The Maryville University Honeysuckle Project serves to investigate long-term
solutions to Bush honeysuckle – a plant species invasive to the St. Louis area,
currently covering the majority of the university campus in Town and Country.
This spring, undergraduate students are continuing research into the potential
of grazing goats as a management solution to the juvenile Bush honeysuckle.
Join Maryville students in learning more about our neighborhood's native ecosystem and developing sustainable solutions to invasive species.
