Partners in Sustainable Development International (PSDI) is planning an old fashioned Bangladesh Street Circus in and around Cardwell’s in Clayton on October 5, 2013. Virginia Klein, Executive Director of the organization, said that the traveling circus has a long tradition in Bangladesh thrilling the young and old alike with acrobats, contortionists, stiltwalkers,wire acts and more. In honoring that tradition at our annual fundraiser, we hope to
rekindle the happy memories of childhood while securing a happier childhood for the thousands of destitute children in the rural villages we serve.

PSDI is a 501 (c) 3 organization that empowers the rural poor in Bangladesh to permanently end their own poverty by empowering them to devise creative solutions to their own problems and partnering with them to make those solutions a reality.

Operating in rural Bangladesh since 1987, more than 100,000 one-meal-a-day families have been helped to realize their dream of financial independence by learning marketable skills in one of 10 economic development programs. Last year 51 schools opened to welcome 1560 primary grade students for the first time. Monies raised this year will help build more schools and provide basic emergency needs to 14,000 new families.

The Bangladesh Street Circus will be from 7-10 pm on Saturday night, October 5, 2013 at
Cardwell’s in Clayton. The cost is $75 per adult and $50 for young adults 18-35 years.
