MoDOT Warns Use Caution in Evening Rush Hour After Tuesday's Snow

Large snow flakes fell across the St. Louis area Tuesday. MoDOT officials are warning drivers to use caution as they head home Tuesday evening.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said road crews took to the streets around the St. Louis area Tuesday treating roads with salt and chemicals and plowing as needed.

The National Weather Service reports there could be accumulation of up to one inch of snow in some parts of the St. Louis area Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of around 20 degrees and light wind is also in the forecast.

According to KMOV.com, several areas received at least a half-inch of accumulation as the narrow band of snow hit St. Louis and St. Charles counties beginning late morning.
