Readers' Choice 2012: Where’s the Best Sushi in the Area?

It’s not just raw fish and rice. And we need you, our readers, to tell us who is the best at making this traditional Japanese dish in the St. Louis metro area.

Type “Sushi restaurants in St. Louis” on Google Maps and you will get more than 400 results. This Japanese delicacy traces its roots to the Fourth Century B.C. in Southeast Asia, when fish was stored with rice for preservation purposes, according to Sushi-Master.com, a website that specializes in Sushi.

Centuries later, many sushi eateries have made their way across the United States and St. Louis. Although price varies from restaurant to restaurant, sushi is considered by many as a fine dish, sometimes associated with business meetings or such other occasions.

At Patch, however, we are not interested in fancy reviews. We want our readers’ opinions, which we value more than anything.

So tell us, in our comments section, where is your favorite place to eat sushi in the St. Louis metropolitan area? Please tell us why!

Tani Sushi is by far the best sushi in St. Louis. All the fish is always fresh, the atmosphere is sexy, and the selection is unique and delicious.
