Readers' Choice 2012: What’s the Coziest Coffee Shop in the Area?

Tell us your favorite, most comfortable place to get a cup of joe.

If you’ve met any of our editors, you probably know the Patch team spends a lot of time in coffee shops from around the area.

There is nothing like writing on a comfy chair to the tune of soft jazz while sipping on a espresso.

All coffee shops are unique, with their own perks and idiosyncrasies. Some display art galleries on their walls while others have live music.

What we need from you, our readers, is to tell us which of all the coffee shops in the St. Louis metropolitan area is the coziest, and nominate it for our 2012 Readers’ Choice awards.

All you have to do is write your place of choice in the comments section of this story. Nominate a place, and don't forget to tell us why!

Nominations can be made from today until July 9. Voting will begin thereafter. Make sure to tell all your friends and family to participate.

Abode Coffee in Webster off of Lockwood. Killer sandwiches.

The Abode is really a treat!!
It's in Webster (on lockwood) about 15 minute xtra drive for me, but it's worth it :) I go in the morning and find it to be cozy, warm, welcoming.

Abode is the best coffee shop in the Continental United States. No question. The raspberry scones are more addictive than crack cocaine, and the americanos are even better. If you haven't been, you're definitely missing out.

I'm with the people above: Definitely Abode (formerly Cafe Nura) in Webster. My husband and I aren't originally from here, and used to lament that we just could not find a good coffee house in St. Louis. Finally we discovered the hidden gem that is Abode. Not only do they have fantastic coffee, but the atmosphere is exactly what a coffee house should be. We have the Americanos and Chai Latte - highly recommended!
