Emergency legislation is also being requested to amend the city's animal control ordinance regarding pitbulls. As previously reported by Patch,
The City of Manchester is considering removing the term "pit bull" from its vicious dog ordinance. If passed, the city would still have a "vicious dog" ordinance, but it would now be based on an animal's behavior only and not based on any specific breed. The new ordinance would take effect immediately after being passed.

The City of Town and Country recently amended its vicious dog ordinance too after pitbull and breed issues arose.
Prescription For Allergy Drugs
Pseudoephedrine, the key ingredient used to make methamphetamine, is often taken by allergy sufferers and found in many popular over the counter drugs like Sudafed, Claritin-D, Allegra-D and Zyrtec-D.
Currently, those drugs are behind the pharmacist's counter and an ID is required to buy them. However St. Louis area drug agents want to make purchasing requirements event stricter.
Before the vote, aldermen will hear from drug agents who are in support of requiring a prescription. They say the stipulation helps stop meth makers and keeps criminals out of cities with such ordinances. Aldermen will also hear from Jim Gwinner who is with K-Global and has reportedly spoken out against requiring a prescription to buy pseudoephedrine products in the past.
Police Dispatch
Aldermen could also vote on whether or not to renew the Manchester Police Department's contract for dispatch services with the Ballwin Police Department for another four years.
