Community Garden Spaces Available

Community gardens are starting in our area -- grab a plot while you can!

All of the plots at the Town & Country Community Garden are taken for this growing season, but Delmar Baptist Church, near the municipal center in Town & Country, has started a garden and has plots available.  More information here.

Gateway Greening is partnering with the St. Louis County Library to create a community garden at the Prairie Commons library branch in Hazelwood.  While this one is a bit distant to be the first choice for a T&C resident, it's great to see another garden get off the ground. According to the press release, the plan is to establish community gardens at several library locations.  The synergy between Gateway Greening, with its knowledge and experience, and SLCL, with its resources and reach, should help them do great things.

To read about the positive influence that a garden can have -- and it goes far beyond just producing food -- read Growing a Garden City.
