Crisis Nursery to Present Bill Siedhoff with Lifetime Achievement Award

On Friday, May 9, Saint Louis Crisis Nursery—an award-winning child abuse prevention safe haven—will present William "Bill" Siedhoff with the agency’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his significant contributions to the safety and protection of at-risk children and homeless families in the St. Louis region.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is Crisis Nursery’s highest honor.  Siedhoff, director of Human Services for the City of St. Louis, was nominated for his steadfast devotion to Crisis Nursery children and his tireless work with the City’s homeless community.

“Bill is a servant leader,” said DiAnne Mueller, Crisis Nursery CEO.  “He routinely goes above and beyond the duties of his professional responsibilities to make a human connection with the people in our community.”

Siedhoff has been affiliated with Saint Louis Crisis Nursery since its establishment in 1986.  He has served as the chair of the Advisory Board for 11 years.  During the region’s recent blistering winter months, he coordinated shelter, food and clothing for the city’s homeless families with the assistance of Crisis Nursery’s staff.  Under his direction, thousands of homeless children and families who sought sanctuary in local shelters were safe, fed and warm.

Said Siedhoff: “It is a truly an honor to be recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by such an outstanding organization as the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. I have been blessed to have spent my entire career performing work that is rewarding and fulfilling.   Knowing that I had a hand in improving the lives of others brings me great personal satisfaction.”
