Update: Customer Gets Resolution In Dry Cleaning Dispute

A woman had been trying to get a refund from a Manchester dry cleaner after she said a suit was stolen. She finally received her refund after contacting local media.

A woman who told Patch her husband's suit disappeared after it ended up at a Manchester dry cleaning operation now has the money she needs to go out and buy a new one.

Jenny Kyle's trouble began when she brought the suit to The Dry Clean Spot in January. When she returned a few weeks later to pick it up, she was told it was misplaced.

Manchester Police said the business filed a report after as many as 80 pieces were missing. Kyle filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get money back to buy a new suit and over this past weekend, Kyle said she received a check for $350 after her story was featured on Patch and again on FOX2 News.

"I am thrilled to have been reimbursed!" Kyle said in an email to Patch. She said she was contacted after those stories ran and told that a check would be on the way. It came without an explanation or a return address.

Manchester police have not returned a message seeking comment on the status of their investigation into the alleged theft, but have previously said the department didn't know if the clothes disappeared at the store, in transit or at the company's Brentwood location where the cleaning is done.
