- Vote for Parkway South Students in Vans Shoe Contest. The students could advance to the Top Five Schools. Parkway South’s design team, production team and at least two adults will travel to Los Angeles at the end of May to compete in the National competition for a $50,000 award to fund further projects, supplies, internships, guest artists and scholarships in the wining school’s art department.

Girl Scout camp is a perfect way to get girls involved and active this summer. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM) offers overnight camping opportunities for girls between the ages of 5 and 17. All girls are welcome at GSEM summer camp programs; just pay the $12 membership fee with the summer program application.

announces its annual golf tournament event, hosted by former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Andy Benes. The tournament will be held on Monday, June 11th at The Country Club of St. Albans. There will be an 18-hole scramble on each of the country club’s two courses: Lewis and Clark and Tavern Creek; the shot-gun tee-off will begin at 10:15 am.

- The St. Louis Cardinals 2011 World Championship Trophy is now back on display at Busch Stadium at the U.S. Cellular Clubhouse. Fans are invited to stop by during any home game during the 2012 season to see the trophy up close and get a photo taken with it for free.

As part of its commitment to local communities and reaching out to area youth during Credit Union Youth Month, Electro Savings Credit Union has partnered with Fourth Grade Foresters USA to provide 820 evergreen tree seedlings to St. Louis County fourth-graders in honor of National Arbor Day on April 27.
