Encore Consignment Gallery Grand Opening This Weekend

Encore Consignment Gallery is hosting a grand opening event this weekend to celebrate its space in Town and Country.

Maureen Strobeck teamed up with her cousin, Barbara Lampe, to open the store at 287 Lamp and Lantern Village. While the store has been open for about two weeks, Strobeck said they are ready for their grand opening Saturday.

Encore is also hosting an open house event Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with refreshments, appetizers and a 10 percent off sale.

Strobeck said they decided to open in the area after growing up in Scottsdale, Ariz., and living near several consignment stores.

"I learned the business, my cousin Barb has been in design for years, and I said, 'I'm going to do it,'" Strobeck told Patch. "There aren't many of these around the area; I thought we needed something out here."

The space, formerly Midwest Flooring, is now filled with furniture from consigners. Strobeck said they do their best to make items look brand new, noting Encore will typically stick to the original price to support their consigner clients.

"There are so many unique items in the store," Strobeck said. "It's a fun place to shop."

Encore will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays.
