Bright Idea Toys - Did You Know?

just moved to it's new Town and Country location, 1050 Schnucks Woods Mill Plaza, in May.

Although the business has been operating in Town and Country since it initially opened next to at Mason Village Shopping Center six years ago, the Woods Mill Plaza location, next to  at the intersection of Clayton Road and Highway 141, offers more space and traffc for the store.

"We liked that plaza, but this is so much more space and it's so visible," explained Jessie Seiter, store manager. "Just a great vibe."

This locally owned toy store has a staff of seven, plus the owner, Nancy Dark. It offers shoppers basic toys, plus a unique selection. It specializes in educational toys and has a knowledgeable staff which can help shoppers in their selection. Seiter said she used to work with developmentally challenged adults, but then she had children and this job allows her to continue helping others to learn.

"We cary a lot of unique toys," Seiter tells Patch. "I shop around and try to make sure we keep them special."

Seiter and store staff will also shop for customers. The store offers personal shopping.

"I'll have people call me on a Saturday morning. I'll shop, pick it out and wrap it up," Seiter tells Patch. "We make it as easy on you as possible."

PATCH Q & A (with Store Manager Jessie Seiter):

Patch Question: What's been your greatest challenge?

Answer: We concored this, but knowing what to buy, knowing what sells. It's trial and error. 

Patch Question: What keeps you up at night?

Answer: All the movies I like to watch after my kids go to bed. Gotta catch up on my movies.
