Bella Bridesmaid Offers Top Designers, Personalized Service

It's that time of year when bridal shops are busy with brides-to-be, but one shop in Town and Country specializes in finding just the right fit for the bridesmaids.

It's that time of the year when weddings are getting into full gear, so if you haven't visited Bella Bridesmaid at Mason and Clayton roads in Town and Country, you might want to make an appointment with owner Carrie Lowery.

Lowery tells Patch she opened the bridesmaid boutique, which is part of a franchise, about two-and-a-half years ago in this mall next to Straub's.

"I just saw a big need for it," Lowery explained. "There's not really a specialized shop in the area that does just bridesmaid dresses."

Bella Bridesmaid is closed Sunday and Monday and Lowery operates by appointment only. She tells Patch this allows her to offer hour-long, personalized appointments to her clients in a private setting.

"I have become friends with most of the brides I have worked with," Lowery said.

She said one of her strengths is focusing on styles that work on different body types and she has extensive knowledge of trends for upcoming seasons.

"I also sell a lot of designers you can't buy anywhere else in St. Louis," Lowery said. She named Jenny Yoo, LulaKate and Love Lane as a few she offers. "Bridesmaid dresses aren't the typical 'use it once and throw it away' anymore. A lot of these styles are designed to be cocktail dresses."
