Would you like to:

  • Lower water and other utility bills?

  • Improve water quality in the region?

  • Increase and improve habitat for wildlife and native plants?

  • Experience nature, with your family, right outside your door?

All of this is possible with the assistance of the St. Louis Audubon Society’s Bring Conservation Home program. For as little as $25, a team of habitat advisors will visit your home, perform a detailed assessment of your landscape and provide specific recommendations on how to improve the space for native flora and fauna, water conservation, your family and the community. Recognition of your actions is available through a certification process that rewards you for implementing certain levels of the recommendations.

Mitch Leachman, Executive Director of the St. Louis Audubon Society and coordinator of Bring Conservation Home, will speak on the program in September for the Green Speaker Series. Mitch joined the Audubon network in 1997 and has been active with the St. Louis chapter since 2001.

The talk will be Thursday September 20th, at 7 pm at Longview Farm Park at 13525 Clayton Road, Town & Country, MO 63141. It will last no longer than an hour, and is free and open to the public. The Green Speaker Series is sponsored by Town & Country's Green Team Commission.

Re-usable grocery bags and Lush cosmetics will be given away at the talk.

Videos of past Green Speaker Series talks are available on YouTube.
