Parkway South Students Need Your Vote to Win Art Competition

Parkway South High art students made it to the semifinals, now they need your help to win the Vans Custom Art Competition. Vote here!

The following information was provided by the Parkway School District in a news release. 

For the second year in a row, the talented students in the Parkway South High art department have made it to the top 50 schools in the country, out of 1,500 entries in the 2013 Vans Custom Culture art competition.  Online voting for the finalists runs through May 13th at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern time).  South High is in the Southeast Region.

The top five finalists will be flown to New York City for an exclusive final event where the winner will be selected. The grand prize winning school receives a $50,000 prize for their art program and the chance for their shoes to be produced and sold in Vans' retail stores. The four runner up schools will also receive money for their art departments.

Parkway South needs the support of the St. Louis community to advance to the finals.

What is Vans Custom Culture?

Custom Culture is a national high school shoe customization contest where schools from all over the United States compete for a chance to win money for their art programs. Registered schools received four pairs of blank Vans sneakers to be customized in four themes: Art, Music, Action Sports and Local Flavor.
