Maryville University Sponsors Library Foundation Author Series

The St. Louis County Library Foundation announced Maryville University is a new sponsor of the Foundation's 2013 author series which brings more than 50 best selling authors to the St. Louis area each year.

The following information was provided by the St. Louis County Library in a news release.

The St. Louis County Library Foundation is pleased to announce Maryville University is the new presenting sponsor of the Foundation’s 2013 author series. The partnership brings together two of St. Louis’ premier literary event organizers. 

The Library Foundation’s author series brings over 50 bestselling authors to the St. Louis County Library each year. Recent events have featured former Vice President Al Gore, Caroline Kennedy, and suspense authors C.J. Box and John Sandford. The events provide attendees with unprecedented access to some of the country’s best known authors.   

Barbara Turkington, the Assistant Director for Advancement for St. Louis County Library said “The Foundation is thrilled to partner with Maryville University. This important collaboration between two well-established organizations will allow us to bring even more authors to the St. Louis area. Maryville is an ardent supporter of the literary arts in our community. Joining forces with the Library Foundation will ensure St. Louis continues to be one of the most literate cities in the U.S.” 

The Library Foundation’s 2013 spring/summer author series features a mix of bestselling authors from a variety genres–including suspense, non-fiction and poetry. A full event schedule can be found online at www.slcl.org/authors.
