About the book: Just after being named a Rhodes Scholar, Moore found out there was another Wes Moore, just two years older than him, who lived in the same neighborhood and who was heading to prison for life for the murder of a police officer. He wrote to the other Moore and surprisingly heard back from him. After meeting with him several times in prison and speaking with his family and friends, Moore discovered more parallels in their lives. Those conversations led him to write The Other Wes Moore.
