2012 Book Fair at Macy’s - West County Center

The 63 year-old St. Louis legacy book event, the Greater St. Louis Book Fair, will re-purpose the Best Friend Forever (BFF) youth culture fad into Book Friend Forever as its theme for their 2012 iconic book fair. The 2012 annual event will be held Thursday, April 26th through Sunday, April 29th, at Macy's at West County Center, at the intersection of I-270 and Manchester Roads in St. Louis, Missouri.

“We think it's a fun theme for a fun event,” said volunteer librarian, Ben Franklin. “And at the same time it emphasizes the particular importance a book can have in a person's life, whether as a child or an adult. Some books just stick with us forever.”

Indeed, as part of the campaign, organizers are  actively seeking testimonials from local media personalities and members of the general public, but also from national personalities, high profile newsmakers, well-known authors and others. Each will be asked to share a My BFF story, which will be submitted via video or email and will be posted on Facebook and Tweeted. To share your BFF, visit Facebook.com/STLBookFair or StLouisBookFair.org.
