Volunteers Needed to Sort Donations

GED Classroom Volunteers Needed

GED classroom volunteers are needed to tutor adults in basic reading, writing, and math. Classes are held at St. Charles Community College as well as seven off-campus locations. One is sure to be close to your home.

Volunteers must have a high school diploma and be at least 18 years old, positive, friendly, and patient. Training is provided and no previous experience is necessary.

Sort holiday donations at Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Christy Blvd Thrift Store
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012

Volunteers will sort and organize clothing and supplies that have been collected for the holiday season. Volunteers will also assist with organizing the agency's thrift store to help clients acquire the items they need. Sign up here.

Help St. Louis Crisis Nursery on a busy day! Volunteers will interact and play games with children residing in the nursery. Volunteers will also help the agency with light cleaning tasks and organizing donations that the agency receives. Sign up here.


Sing holiday carols with seniors at Lutheran Senior Services, Halls Ferry Manor 
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012

Help host a holiday singalong for senior residents and enjoy refreshments while you sing and visit. All supplies including music, song sheets and refreshments will be provided by the host site. Volunteers are encouraged to wear festive attire. Sign up here.

Make holiday cards with seniors at Mary Ryder Home
