Missouri Baptist Medical Center opens a new door – the new front door to the hospital. The $112 million, six-story, 227,000-square-foot tower is now the main entrance to the hospital complete with hundreds of nearby patient parking spots and free valet. The main level is finished with a lobby and patient resources. The floors above will be completed over the next three years and will house operating rooms, space for medical and diagnostic procedures, and 96 private, state-of-the-art patient rooms.

 named alumnus Steve Lauer as director of development. Lauer brings more than 20 years of business, communications, and development experience to this new position where he will cultivate relationships with  alumni, parents and donors who are passionate about Christian education and the vision of Westminster.

LaBest Inc. presents LaBest Mobile Grooming. The new state of the art all-in-one grooming unit is expanding its territory and will now be servicing pets in Illinois and Missouri.

Bank of America announced $145,000 in grants to six St. Louis-area nonprofits to develop and provide innovative solutions for local housing issues. Among the 2012 recipients is the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, which has been awarded $25,000 to support counseling staff and program operations that strengthen the basic housing program.
