At what age is it appropriate to get your child's ears pierced, taking into consideration the pain in getting them pierced, as well as the ability to prevent them from getting infected? 

Background:

This week's question comes from Moms Council Member Bonnie Krueger. She says her daughter is 6 years old  and is asking. Bonnie is very confused at what point it's appropriate.
