Manchester Bulk Trash Pick Up This Week

Manchester's first 2011 city-wide bulk trash pick-up is taking place this week.

Manchester's first 2011 city-wide bulk trash pick-up is taking place this week. Residents'buld trash will be picked up with their regular trash on their normal collection day all week.

Residents can place two bulk trash items at the curb for Allied Waste to pick up.

Residents must follow these guidelines posted by the city:

  • A two item limit.
  • Bulk trash includes any type of solid waste that cannot be placed into a 32 gallon trash can.
  • No single item can weigh more than 100 pounds or exceed 16 cubic feet in volume. 
  • Major appliances, automobile parts or components, or any such other item are not bulk trash and will not be accepted.

The following items are bulk trash and can be set on the curb to be picked up:

  • Sofa/Couch 
  • Cabinet
  • Table
  • Television
  • Mattress
  • Sink
  • Lamp
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Vanity
  • Bathtub
  • Carpet - must be cut four foot widths, no larger than 18 inches in diameter, limit of two.
  • Toilet - residents should separate bowl and tank.
