Westminster Christian Academy’s New Head of School Begins Tenure this Summer

Dr. Tom Stoner began his new position as head of school at Westminster Christian Academy on July 1.

Born and raised in Wheaton, Illinois, Stoner received an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts. He also earned a Doctor of Education degree from Boston University, while serving in his former role as head of school at Covenant Christian Academy in the Boston area.

Stoner was instrumental in the early years of the school as both a teacher and administrator. During his 16-year tenure, Covenant grew its enrollment, added grades 9 through 12, and relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility.

Stoner is eager to get started with the work of advancing Westminster. “For years, I have heard about Westminster and admired it as one of the leading Christian schools in the nation,” he said. “Now I am honored to join the remarkable Westminster faculty, staff, and community, and look forward to see the good things God has in mind for the future of this beloved school.”
