While the commission has made its decision, the board of aldermen is the next step for the final word on whether these developments have the go-ahead or have to come to a halt.
According to an email from the City of Town and Country, here is when to expect decisions and public hearings on these developments:
- Allegro Senior Living Center: The proposal for Wirth Property and Mason Woods Village at Mason and Clayton Roads was unanimously opposed by the planning commission last month. The development's board of aldermen decision has been postponed until Sept. 23.
- BJC pediatric center: A request to turn the former Missouri State Highway Patrol headquarters into a pediatric center was also given a negative recommendation from the planning commission. BJC has requested the proposal be deferred for the time being.
- Maryville University: The university presented a plan for two playing fields partnered with seats and concessions on neighboring property that requires a zoning change. The request is expected to be reviewed by aldermen at the Oct. 14 meeting.
- McCallum Place -- A conditional use permit for a eating disorder clinic and group home will be the topic of a public hearing at the Aug. 26 aldermen meeting. The site location is listed at 13428 Conway Road.
