Discuss strategies to manage treatment side effects such as fatigue, hair loss, anemia, infection and pain. Learn how to manage emotional distress and optimize quality of life during and after cancer treatment.
Featured Speakers:
Michael J. Naughton M.D., Medical Oncologist, Siteman Cancer Center, (specialties: oncology, breast oncology, medical oncology, breast health) Assistant Professor, Medicine, Division of Oncology, Section of Medical Oncology, Washington University School of Medicine, will discuss ways to help manage the physical effects of cancer treatment.
Cancer Support Community program staff will also discuss the emotional issues that arise with cancer treatment and stress management tips.

More About Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis
Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis is a not-for-profit agency that helps people diagnosed with cancer in a number of ways. The organization recently changed its name from Wellness Community.
This location is part of an international organization that offers free programs to people diagnosed with cancer in a comfortable, home-like environment.
The agency works to help people understand that if they, or someone they love, has been diagnosed with cancer they are not alone and they are supported by a "community" of people dealing with similar situations.
Numerous free programs are offered through the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis, including the following: Support Groups, Stress Management Programs, Education Workshops, Nutrition and Exercise Programs and Gentle Movement Classes.
Laura Rossmann is the organization's executive director.
