After spending the day driving around Manchester and Town and Country, gathering information from the city halls and fire department, here's a list of community tree lots where you can find a live tree:

Manchester United Methodist Church's Lot-

Located in the 14,700 block of Manchester Road, this lot is right next to Enterprise Rent-A-Car, just a few blocks west of Manchester City Hall.  

Manchester United Methodist Church members say the lot's been in operation since 1964 and sales proceeds go to help local missions, seminary student scholarships and church projects. This lot offers the greatest variety of trees that I found and the people working on the lot are extremely friendly and helpful. Rope, stands and wreaths are also available here.

Trees Available: Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Noble Fir, Scotch Pine

Size: Five feet to almost 18 feet

Cost: $30 - 165 

Hours: 9 a.m. - 9 pm. / daily

The Tree Lot-

Located across Manchester Road from the Manchester Meadows Shopping Center, employees say this lot is run by the Bopp family who's been in business for 73 years. You'll recognize the lot by it's big red building covered and filled with wreaths that can be purchased pre-made or special ordered.  The very friendly staff can help you with any purchase and Santa will be here Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the kiddos!

Trees Available: Balsam Fir, Frazer Fir

Size: Up to 16 feet

Cost: $49 - $150

Hours: Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m./ Saturday - Sunday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Home Depot-

Located in the Manchester Meadows Shopping Center, Home Depot is selling many different types of trees this year.

Trees Available: Fraser Fir, Noble Fir, Scotch Pine, Spruce

Cost: $13 - $60

Costco-

Costco in the Manchester Highlands Shopping Center is selling trees to Costco members only. The trees are not near the building but being sold along the parking lot border. Customers do have to pay for the trees first and can do so at the membership counter or the photo counter.
