West County Mother Sentenced For Participating in Rape of Baby
Tessa Vanvlerah, of Ballwin, was sentenced this week for allowing and participating in the rape of her infant daughter, according to the Post-Dispatch and KMOV.
As previously reported by Patch, Tessa Vanvlerah, 22, of the 200 block of Solon Drive in Ballwin pled guilty to charges of sexual assault following allegations that she and an assistant college professor violated the woman's infant daughter.
According to KMOV.com Tuesday, a judge sentenced Vanvlerah to two consecutive life prison terms for sexually assaulting her five-month-old daughter along with the California man she met online.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Vanvlerah admitted to repeatedly performing sex acts on her infant daughter and pled guilty to one count each of statutory rape, statutory sodomy and incest. Vanvlerlah's attorney had reportedly tried to get her probation because of a psychological disorder, according to stltoday.com.
The Post-Dispatch also reports that Vanvlerah and the college professor both also face federal charges of production of child pornography. The professor, Kenneth Kyle, 47, is reportedly already in custody on a California child sex abuse charge. The Post reports that the FBI found more than 100 child porn images were sent from Kyle's computer.

As a human being, I am incredibly sickened by this news. As a mother myself, I cannot imagine a fellow mother doing ANYTHING to hurt her child. The idea that anyone, especially her mother, could violate a baby this way is shocking and beyond comprehension for me. Clearly, this woman should not call herself a mother. I feel so terrible for the baby.

This woman was not a MOTHER, she was an ANIMAL! Now her attorney want to plead 'mental sickness' ~ this is NOT mental sickness, this woman knew exactly what she and this male type person were doing to this innocent little baby girl,,,I cry tears of hurt for this darling little one, I hope she is given to a wonderful set of parents who will love her the way she deserves to be loved and cared for,,,
