Weekend Preview

Here's a sneak peek at what's happening around the area this weekend.

 

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, other than shop, there are quite a few events taking place. Get the kids ready because Santa will be making his way around Manchester!

 

Breakfast with Santa-

The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department is holding it's annual Breakfast with Santa at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m Saturday. The event is sold out so if you don't have tickets already, it's too late for the breakfast, however Patch will be there so you can check back here Saturday evening for photos of the event. Plus, there are plenty of other opportunities to see Santa!

Santa on the Firetruck-

West County EMS and Fire Protection District will drive Santa around on a firetruck this Saturday. You can catch Santa riding along Henry Avenue on his way to the block party at 2:30 p.m. at 706 Guenevere Drive.

Santa visits The Tree Lot-

If you can't make the breakfast, Santa will be visiting Christmas tree shoppers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at The Tree Lot located at 13850 Manchester Road, just across from the Manchester Meadows Shopping Center. Free cocoa will also be on hand!

 

Eat This, Not That-

Whole Foods Markets in Town and Country is teaching parents how to swap out fast food for healthier versions that look and taste good.  Reservations are required and the cost is $15. The class is from 10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday and will be taught by Culinary Coordinator Aminah Williams.

Fun Building a Gingerbread House-

Whole Foods in Town and Country will be teaching people how to build a gingerbread house this Saturday. Participants do not have to bring supplies. The instructor will provide the frosted gingerbread house and candy. The cost is $19.99 per house which includes the frosted gingerbread house, candy and royal icing. The activity is for all ages. Reservations are required.

Weekend Concerts-

Whole Foods in Town and Country has two free concerts this Saturday. TeamSTAGES, is a teen a cappella group that will be preforming holiday favorites like Sleigh Ride, Let it Snow and Let It Be

Where: Whole Foods Market, 1160 Town and Country Crossing Drive, St. Louis, MO 63017

When: Noon - 12:45 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4

Local musicians, The Bone Heads, will perform the day's second concert in Whole Food's café. It's the perfect chance to grab lunch or a cup of coffee and take a break from busy holiday shopping.

When: 1 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4
