Thefts Prompt Town and Country Police Warning
The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department.
Thefts from cars this week, prompt Town and Country Police to once again warn residents to lock their doors.
Captain Gary Hoelzer said in a news release that between 8 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. Monday a theft occurred in a church parking lot in 12900 block of Ladue Road. Hoelzer stated someone broke out the passenger side window of a car parked in the lot and stole a GPS that was mounted on the windshield.
Hoelzer said that during the same time frame, another vehicle was broken into in the same manner in the 14300 block of South Outer 40 Road. That vehicle was also parked in a lot and a GPS unit was also taken from the windshield.
Hoelzer said police are searching for several individuals for similar crimes in the area.
He is encouraging everyone to keep garage doors closed, vehicles locked and valuables removed or hidden.
