Readers' Choice 2012: Where’s the Best Wine Selection in Our Area?

We need readers’ help to find the restaurant, bar, or any other place with the best wine in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

St. Louis may be a land of beer and micro breweries, and although we are no France, wine bars and wineries abound throughout the area.

Red, white, pink, sweet or dry, we need your help to find the best place to have a glass of wine.

Nominate your favorite place in the St. Louis metropolitan area for our 2012 Readers’ Choice award. Just write your place of choice in the comments section of this story. Don't forget to tell us why!

Nominations can be made from today until July 9. Voting will begin thereafter. Make sure to tell all your friends and family to participate.

St. Louis Wine Market and Tasting Room
164 Chesterfield Commons East
Chesterfield MO
636-536-6363
The St. Louis Wine Market has a wonderful selection of wine, fine spirits and beer for retail sale. They also have a great tasting room where you can drink wines that you purchase by the bottle or by the glass. It's beautifully decorated and a great place to meet your friends, especially at "Bury the Bottle" Tuesdays and wine tastings!

You guys really need to go to Lukas Liquor. I have never been to St. Louis Wine Market but I have been to Wines of Wildwood. Lukas has probably 8x the wines that Wines of Wildwood has. More selection and better prices to boot. And if you ask they will help on your selections.

Wines of Wildwood without question! They may not have the largest selection, but I've never felt more welcome anywhere else. They get to know you personally and they keep track of what you like so that they can make recommendations for different wines. They have never failed to suggest something I don't like. Hats off to Karl and the gang!

Wines of Wildwood, from the first day Karl and Cheri have made me feel welcomed. I was pretty "green" when came to wines when I first started and Karl never made me feel that I was stupid. With over a 1000 bottles of wine in stock he is always willing to go the extra mile to find a bottle that he doesn't carry. WoW Rocks!
