Police Search for Man, Woman in Connection with Stolen Credit Card
The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.
Town and Country police are searching for a man and a woman wanted in connection with the theft of a purse from a victim at Missouri Baptist Hospital and the subsequent use of the victim’s credit card.
According to Captain Gary Hoelzer, Sept. 9, an unidentified male subject walked into Missouri Baptist Hospital and entered an unlocked office and stole a wallet from a purse. The suspect was wearing a white construction hard hat and a two-tone blue Beverly Hills Polo Club shirt with the number 2 on the back and chest. The suspect was driving a white late model Ford E250 or E350 panel van.
According to police, immediately after stealing the wallet, the suspect proceeded to use the victim’s credit card at the Best Buy in Brentwood to purchase a 55-inch flat screen TV. The suspect also used the credit card at the Walgreens in Brentwood, and at the Walgreens in St. Louis City on Lafayette to purchase Visa gift cards. The victim’s credit card was also used by an unidentified female suspect at the Walgreens on South Broadway to purchase Visa gift cards.
Town and Country police say the same two individuals are suspects in a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigation in which a purse was stolen from St. Alexius Hospital and the victim’s credit card was later used to purchase Visa gift cards at the Walgreens stores on South Broadway and Lindell Boulevard by both suspects. The suspects were seen leaving the store on Lindell in a late model silver Chevy Malibu.
