Bus Safety, New Lunch Prices and e-Report Cards for Parkway Students
Parkway Students Head Back to School August 14. Are you ready for the new year?
The district has released its annual Back 2 School booklet, which has been mailed to parents and is also available online at Back-to-School Parent's Guide.

The district is preparing its newest students—kindergarteners—with a bus safety chat before school starts. The students will get to meet “Buster the Bus” and have their first bus ride around the neighborhood. Parents can check the school calendar here to find out when their school is scheduled for a safety meeting.
New this year will be electronic report cards for grades six to twelve. Report cards are currently mailed out to families six times a year. Next year parents will only receive grade reports through Infinite Campus, the school’s online portal. The move to paperless report cards is expected to save the district $42,000 annually.
Another change for parents is an increase in school lunch prices.
The Board of Education approved a 25 cent meal price increase for the 2012-13 school year. Prices haven’t been raised since 2009 and beverage prices will remain unchanged. Student breakfast will now be $2.00 and lunch $2.75, which includes a beverage. Extra beverages are 50 cents.
If you still haven’t enrolled your student for Parkway there’s still time. Students in grades K-12 may be registered at the appropriate high school registration site, depending on the student's resident attendance area. Find the list of documents and forms required for registration at http://www.pkwy.k12.mo.us/pupilPersonnel/enroll/index.cfm.
You may fill out, print, and then take the required enrollment forms and documents needed for registration with you to register. No appointment is necessary. Registration hours at the high schools are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call the registration line at 314-415-9900 if you have further questions.
