Moms Talk: Cell Phones and Possible Cancer Link
This week, local parents share their thoughts on a possible cancer connection to cell phones. We want "Patch" readers to share their advice too.
Town and Country-Manchester Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support families right here in Town and Country and Manchester.
Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic.
This week, we start the conversation with a question about recent reports that radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer. CNN and other news organizations report the World Health Organization now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform.
Question:
Will this news change the way you let kids use and own cellphones?
Add your thoughts and advice in the comments box below.
If you have a question that you'd like answered, please email it to Gabrielle.Biondo@Patch.com.

As a short answer-No, it won't affect my views on my kids owning a cell phone. For my son's birthday we bought him an i-pod touch, which plays music, accesses wifi and lots of game downloads. He can even text his friends. I doubt we'll get him a phone anytime soon.

My kids are currently too young for cell phones but I hope by the time they are more research will be done. If they were old enough, I'm not sure I would let one study determine our cell phone use.
