A funeral service for Emily Beth Herberger, who died Monday night in a car accident on Highway N in St. Charles County, will be held Friday morning in Dardenne Prairie.

Herberger, 16, was the daughter of Parkway Central High School teacher Keith Herberger.

Emily Herberger, of Foristell, was driving a 2010 Chevy Camaro westbound on Highway N east of Ellerman Oaks Drive at 11:09 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

The vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, overturned and struck a roadway sign. It then crossed back over the road and left the roadway on the right side before coming to rest upright.

A passenger, Alivia A. Nolting, 16, of Wentzville, a passenger in the car, suffered moderate injuries.

The funeral for Herberger starts at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Church, 1600 Feise Road in Dardenne Prairie.

Memorials may be made to St. Louis Zoo's Elephant Exhibit.
