Dress to Impress

This week I shopped around and tried to the pick the perfect holiday outfit for every occasion.

You've finally made it to that crucial time, the holidays. You and your partner have picked where you will be going, what gifts you will be giving and even maybe who will take the first shift entertaining Aunt Ethel as she talks your ear off.  Unfortunately, you forgot to pick out that perfect holiday outfit. Whether you are off to a holiday party, out for a night of fun, or meeting the family I have a few tips to have you looking like the belle of the ball no matter what the occasion. For those last minute holiday outfits you won't have to look much further than right here in your backyard.

For a normal night out during the holidays or a casual date remember to not only dress to impress but also be functional! Looking at Christmas lights with your sweetie won't be so much fun if you can barely get a word out in between teeth chatters. Be sure to stop by Kutch in Town and Country for cute sweaters that will not only have a little sparkle, but also keep you warm while out in your own winter wonderland. The one shown in this article's photo from Klutch is perfect for a casual date when paired with a pair of skinny jeans and warm winter boots.

For the holiday party it's always best to go for modest mixed with modern. While parties are usually a great place to show a little skin, remember that you will still see your boss Monday morning and it is always better to be on the safe side and stay modest. A cute mini from Susan Lynn's Boutique in Town and Country would be perfect paired with a crew neck sweater and black tights. Whether at your or your significant other's office party you'll be dressed the part and appropriately, making your partner proud.

If your holiday plans are leaning a bit closer to going out with your girlfriends, a cute tank top is sure to do the trick. A bright color, like one from Klutch, will be the way to make sure that you are the first one to catch eyes from across the room. Remember to pair it with a chic blazer and jeans for a comfortable yet classy look.

By far the most difficult holiday occasion to dress for is meeting your partner's family. A time so crucial in a relationship it leaves many of us sweating about finding appropriate attire. Susan Lynn's Boutique also offers an elegant array of dresses. For this occasion, always aim to be cute and coy.

While boutiques in the Town and Country area like Klutch, Susan Lynn's Boutique, and Laurie Solet offer great staple pieces to build every outfit around there are many other places to pick up those last minute pieces that may make-or-break your outfit.  Designer Shoe Warehouse in Manchester has a large assortment of shoes to match any ensemble.  Also, do not forget about Target and Kohl's to pick up your accessories. Both of these places offer jewelry, handbags and any other piece you often find at area malls, but for less money. Always remember that no matter what you're wearing it is the confidence with which you wear the outfit that makes it classic.
