Crime Alert: Daytime Thieves Still Lurking in Town and Country
Police are warning residents of another home burglary. Jewelry was stolen during the hours when many residents are away at work.
The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department.
According to an email alert sent out by police, a home in the 100 block of Bon Chateau Drive, near Ladue and Babler roads, was burglarized between 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Forced entry was made into the home through a rear sliding glass door, police stated in the email. The house reportedly has an alarm, but it was not set by the resident.
This is the latest in a recent number of daytime burglaries taking place in Town and Country during the times many people are away at work.

"We also urge residents to secure valuables in a safe or safe deposit box," police stated in the email alert.
Authorities also advise residents to take photographs of their jewelry because it helps detectives located the items if they are stolen.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact Detective Lieutenant Rick Kranz at 314-587-2860 or kranzrg@town-and-country.org.
Residents can also call 911, or the West Central Dispatch Center at 314 737-4600.
